Problem
Vegan consumers rely on a myriad of retailers when shopping online, which can be very time-consuming and costly.
All vegan online shopping can be tedious. Usually, when shopping online, the user is expected to visit several different online shops in order to find all the vegan products (skincare, supplements, food items, clothing, ...) they are looking for.
Solution
A one-stop-shop enabling vegan consumers to get all of their goods through one online platform.
Vegcy set out to be the first-ever all-vegan marketplace. Essentially, an Amazon platform for only vegan products, where users can not only buy vegan products, but also set up their Vegcy e-shop and sell.
Early stages
Since Vegcy was a completely new brand, I joined the 3-member team and started working on visual identity. The keywords I focused on when creating the identity were: nature, simplicity, trust, security.
Visual identity

After the main parts of the visual identity were set, I moved on with focusing on the main user journeys: user onboarding, buying an item and setting up a shop.

Learnings
This project had a lot of potential. I wish I could have worked on it longer, as I too connected with the mission of this platform and enjoyed working on the project. Unfortunately, the project was cut short due to lack of funding. However, I still value this experience and what it taught me.
E-commerce approach
I learned a lot about a typical e-commerce website's information architecture and page setup. I gained deeper knowledge about landing pages, call to actions and was heavily involved in the marketing side of the project.
Joy of Branding
In this project I was focusing more on the visual-side of the platform, as opposed to the user experience. I reconnected with my inner graphic designer and was able to have a lot of fun.
Working with a team
Working with WordPress during this project gave me some deeper insights into how CMS and e-commerce systems function.
